Hi everyone! I can't believe it has been almost a month and a half since I have posted. Time is flying by! Things have been so busy...as you can imagine. I am just now feeling as though I am getting into a routine and the "swing of things". I have lots of photos to post and will do it after this note. I have been taking lots of pics, but finding time to upload and post them is another matter! Ellie is amazing! I know I am a biased mommy, but I just can't believe how well she is doing. She still sleeps through the night...such a blessing! She goes to bed about 8 and doesn't wake up until 7 or 8 the next morning. We had a huge thunderstorm here last week, it woke me and Jim up, and I kept waiting for her to cry, whimper or something...not a peep. I don't know how long this will last, but I hope it does! She loves her daddy and calls him "Da Da". She also says "bye bye" sometimes when waving goodbye. She is babbling so much, and really talking, we just haven't figured out what she is saying yet...I hope to hear "Mama" on a regular basis soon. She did say it the other day, but isn't consistent with it yet. I am sure in the next few months she will be saying much more that we can understand. Her favorite song is "Twinkle, twinkle little star" and she dances and sings with it everytime it comes on...so cute! She seems to love music and any toy that is musical. She loves to ride on her butterfly rocker and is so proud she can now get on and off without help from us. She learned yesterday how to get up on her little chair and sit at her table...again she was so proud of herself! She is teething her molars still, I will be so glad when that is over! I feel sorry for her, I can tell it hurts and it gives her a "runny diaper" and boy does she drool! I have had to get her out of the crib and just take her to the tub and "hose her off" a couple of times...my official "mommyhood" initiation! I have never seen so much poop! :) I never thought "baby drool" was an "accessory" but I have to say I am wearing a lot of it these days! Ellie loves bath time, story time and of course, eating. She eats everything we give her, even salmon and lima beans! We will see how long that lasts! She went to "Tumble Bugs" for the first time last week and loved doing the "hotdog" roll...rolling on her stomache then back then stomache down a padded incline. She was a bit scared at first but by the end was having fun. She loves being around other kids so we have had several play dates and she is doing Mother's Day Out one day a week starting this month. She has been to the nursery at church and done well...they give her graham crackers and they have neat toys! We are going to try a Kindermusik class in late September...I know she will love that!
Thank you so much for your continued love and support...it means so much to us all! Thank you for following along as Ellie's story continues to unfold. I never cease to be amazed at the miracle she is, and at the love and joy she has brought to our lives.
Love Always,
Donna
