Here is our sweet Ellie, just after her US Embassy interview. I think the trip there really scared her. She was quiet the whole time, she seems to do that when she is scared, but you can tell by her shallow, quick breathing that she is nervous. I think when we got in the car she really thought she was being taken back to the orphanage, poor thing. Anyway, we didn't get as many smiles because these were taken right after we got back from the embassy. More on that experience in a separate post. We laughed so hard at the second picture from the top. She has the look of, "I have these people right where I want them, I am so in charge here!" Haha! Of course she isn't and we are having to show her that everyday, and it is getting better. I thought I would have a little time before she tested the boundaries, but oh no, she jumped right in! :)
